On March 16, Trump posted on Truth Social that Wiles, 68, was "diagnosed with early stage breast cancer" and "decided to take on this challenge, IMMEDIATELY." He called her "an amazing person, an amazing fighter" and said her prognosis is "excellent."
In an interview with The New York Times, Wiles said she learned of the diagnosis about a week earlier. She thanked her doctors, noted that nearly one in eight women in the U.S. face this diagnosis, and expressed gratitude for the support she's received.
