The band said they’re excited to share unreleased material and will perform the full album on their Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour, which begins Sept. 30. Three extra dates were added: Philadelphia on Oct. 7, Boston on Oct. 9 and Los Angeles on Nov. 3.
Taking the Long Way was released in May 2006 and featured the hit "Not Ready to Make Nice." The record earned five Grammy Awards, including Album, Record and Song of the Year. The album followed controversy sparked by Natalie Maines’ 2003 comment in London opposing the Iraq War and criticizing then-President George W. Bush, a topic the band addressed in its music.
